Mutton Kolhapuri (Mutton in Maharashtra style)
Ingredients:
Preparation:
- Marinate the mutton cubed with salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste
and keep it for 1 hour.
- Heat 2-3 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add cloves, peppercorn, poppy
seeds, coriander seeds, aniseeds and
red chilies and cook till Brown.
- Add onion, coconut, tomatoes and till it brown. Cool all the ingredients
and grind to a fine paste and keep aside.
- Heat remaining oil in a pressure cooker and add meat and potatoes and stir
fry till brown.
- Add spices paste, salt and water (if needed) cook it till the meat is
soft.
- When the gravy becomes dry, serve on a plate.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with
Roti or
Paratha.
