Ussal Paw (Mixed Vegetables)
Ingredients:
Preparation:
- Heat the oil in a pan, fry the onions till they turn brown and keep aside.
- Roast all dry ingredients (dried coconut, fennel seeds, coriander seeds,
cumin
seeds, whole garam masala, pepper corn, red dried chili) till brown.
- Add ginger-garlic and roasted onions to the roasted ingredients and grind
to make a fine paste.
- Cook the soaked peas in a pressure cooker and leave aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the crushed garlic and curry leaves.
- Fry the garlic till brown, now add grounded paste and fry till oil is
separate.
- Add tomatoes and cook it well.
- Add boiled peas and salt and cook it for 10 min in a medium flame with
cover.
- When the gravy becomes thick, turn off the gas.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and enjoy it.
